The pupils at your school will have the opportunity to meet, question and work with an established sporting athlete. The visits also enable the children and staff to hear about the Ambassador’s story – what did they overcome and how did they go about doing this to reach the level they have achieved.

A typical timetable for the full day with our Sporting Ambassadors will be a whole-school assembly, including Q&A sessions, followed by KS2 classes receiving coaching/team building activities from the Sporting Ambassador, with the day rounded off with a staff/pupil reward meet and greet.

At Edstart we’re passionate about helping children stay healthy and inspiring them to be the best version of themselves that they can be. That’s why we organise our Sporting Ambassador visits, to meet children across the country to share the importance of being active, overcoming obstacles and having fun along the way.

Edstart work in the same communities that I grew up in. They develop broader skills and lifelong healthy habits for all aspects of life. I benefited from similar provision at a young age, undoubtedly helping me in my journey to become a professional football player.

Edstart’s ethos in using sport and physical activity to better the quality of life for young people, creating chances to play recreational sport during and after school, and in the school holidays is a fantastic initiative! Very proud to play a small role in Edstart's ever progressing journey!
